I only used part of the pattern and made a little pillow of it. Originally I was going to do the full pattern, but got this far and thought it looked good as is.

Give Thanks

14 ct. Grey Adia DMC 3777
Heart on back is from Lady Quaker
Another rainy day here in Burnaby. I sometimes feel that I am not the best "Pet Parent" around. I see others walking their dogs in the rain, some dogs have coats some don't. Me I take advantage of it and stay in. Tiger does have a fair size yard if she really wanted to run around in the rain, but she doesn't. So other than going to the store to pick up a couple of things, Tiger will go for the ride, and then it will be a couch day of stitching.

Time Flies ....

when you are having fun, or so the saying goes. I do have a fair bit of stitching to show. I started the year off with great intentions, keeping my blog and webshots current and sometime during the year it to all went by the wayside. I'm really going to try harder to do this so here goes. I'm just going to show a couple now and more over the next few days, maybe even more today. I just need to get the particulars together on what I stitched.

I made mine into a pillow.
My new header picture was taken at Trout Lake, and you can see the trees are just starting to change for fall. I love this time of year, sunny, warm, cool breeze and the changing of colors makes it just right :)

Noel

Another ornament from The Gift of Stitching magazine. This design is by Maryse Dupont of Les grilles de Maryse. I stitched it on 28 ct. Cashel Flax with DMC CV 4210. It's late and too dark to take a decent picture, so I scanned it. It usually takes me a "few" pictures to get a decent one, so I may do more scanning.

Something quick and little

It rained yesterday, actually it has rained almost everyday for a week. It is being reported that we have had more rain then we normally get for the month of November. So I decided to stay in and stitch to my hearts content. I look around and see so many WIP's, but wanted something quick and easy. This is Christmas Poinsettia Topiary by Praiseworthy Stitches from the TGOS Nov. issue, at least my version. I stitched this on 28 ct. Ice Blue Annabelle with DMC 498, 304 and 3051. There should be Merry on the left side and Christmas down the right. I go to start this and realize I should have stitched this over one and can't seem to adjust the wording to fit with over 2. I like it the way it is so may just leave it. I'm working on another one from the same issue. May get that one fnished tonight.

I Love Red

Finally I have some pictures to show for my stitching. I have been trying all week to get decent pictures taken and they were either too dark or blurry. Maybe I need a new camera or maybe it's the photographer.

First up we have a Star with a Heart in the middle. I stitched this with DMC CV4210. I can't seem to find the pattern to say where I got it from. It is a free one, if anyone really wants to know I will look for the site. Here's the site http://aurelle.over-blog.com/article-4775483.html
Thanks Anna.

I stitched up a little fob using Lizzie Kates Alphabet. I only stitched the background for the initial, assissi style. I was so engrossed in hand stitching the seams and getting the needle through the ribbon I didn't realize it was upside down, the little hearts should have been facing the other way.

This lovely design is from Debbie Draper . I stitched this using Carrie's Creation Ruby. I used the same for the fob.
This little birdie is from the Readers Digest Big Book of Cross Stitch Designs. I stitched it with DMC 817.

And lastly we have a Pelin Tezer free design. I left the border off and stitched it in DMC 304.
I do have another red one in the works, just a little more stitching and it will be done.
This week I think I will go back to stitching LHN Neighbord and LK Christmas flip its. If I just do these two I should get a fair amount done on both.
